Getting to Ann Arbor

The Detroit International Airport (DTW) is approximately 30 minutes from Ann Arbor.
Taxi services (including rideshare options e.g. Lyft & Uber) are available, with typical fees around $40-50 between DTW and Ann Arbor.

Shared-ride shuttle service is also available from the Michigan Flyer. The rate is $12 each way with a reservation and $15 each way without a reservation. The Flyer drops off in downtown Ann Arbor, within a ten-minute walk of the Graduate Hotel and a ten-minute car ride of the Hampton Inn.

Getting to the Conference

  • From the Graduate Hotel - please see walking map below; the conference venues are less than a five-minute walk from the hotel.

  • From the Hampton Inn - the conference venues are a 10-minute drive from the hotel and complimentary shuttle transportation to and from the conference will be provided; shuttle timetable provided during check-in.

  • From other areas in Ann Arbor - Lyft and Uber are prevalent and recommended as parking downtown is limited.

Please book your room ASAP! This block will sell out. We have been told that there are a number of large events in Ann Arbor on the weekend of the conference, so it may be hard to find a hotel at the last minute.

The Hampton Inn Ann Arbor North is located a 10-minute ride from the University of Michigan Campus and has a few restaurants within walking distance. A complimentary shuttle will be provided to transport conference attendees to and from the conference venue each day. The conference has negotiated a special meeting rate of $209 per night for king and double queen rooms. An 11% tax per night will apply to the rate. The room rate will be available for the nights of August 7-10. To receive the group rate, reserve your room online using this link, or call the hotel and refer to the group code “MLH” or the “Machine Learning for Healthcare” block when making your reservation.

Please make your room reservations as early as possible, reservation requests received after July 17 will be accepted by the Hampton Inn on a space-available basis and may not receive the discounted group rate. There are several large events in Ann Arbor during the MLHC conference and hotel space is limited.
